A brief explanation of the concepts behind some of the better known roulette strategy systems and how to increasing the chance of winning at roulette.
Roulette is a game of chance; however there are a number of different roulette strategies that have been put forward that are said to increase your chances of winning. There are those who will say that no strategy can work for roulette and that players should not waste their money paying for strategies, while others will swear by them
This is a system for betting in European roulette. It is likely the oldest system around and it can be dated back approximately 300 years. It is essentially a progressive betting system. The Martingale system dictates that players place an initial bet on either black or red, or odd or even. If they lose their initial bet, they must then double their initial bet amount for their next bet. Players continue to place bets in this progressive pattern until they win a spin. The concept behind this system is that when the player wins a spin, the payout will clear all past losses. There are some limitations to this theory, however. Players need to have a large bankroll available as it may take some time to win a spin. Also, not all roulette tables will allow unlimited bet amounts. This may limit the number of doubled bets that players can place and so players may not be able to double their bets until they win.
The Fibonacci system of numbers is numbers that occur throughout nature. In this system, players need to place bets based on the Fibonacci system of numbers – that is 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13. In the Fibonacci pattern of numbers, each number is equal to the sum of the previous two numbers. Before using this system, players should be aware that it produces the same house edge as placing bets on red every time.
In order to run the roulette combination system of betting, you need to run a double Martingale system. That is, this strategy dictates that you run two simultaneous bets each in the Martingale system of betting. It suggests that by doing this you will be kept in the running for so long that you will achieve a 25% probability that both combination bets will be landed on at one time.
To begin this system, players must write down any four numbers e.g. 2-4-5-6. You must add the two outside numbers and then bet on their sum. If you lose, you add that amount to the end of the row. If you win, you remove those numbers from the outside of your list and bet on the next two outside numbers. As an example from the above sequence of numbers, you first bet on 2+6. If you lose, you add 8 so that your sequence becomes 2-4-5-6-8. You then bet on 2+8. If you win, you remove the 2 and the 8 and are left with 4-5-6. You then bet on 4+6. If you win, you remove those numbers and will be left with 5.
