Women Poker Players - Sandra Naujoks

Saundra Naujoks, AKA, the Black Mamba, is one of the world’s elite poker players. She was named the 2008 European Female Player of the Year.

Sandra Naujoks is one of the best female players in the world. Also known by the nickname “Black Mamba,” she has earned the title of European Female Player of the Year and was also the champion of the European Poker Tournament. A native of Germany, Naujoks initially had aspirations of becoming a history teacher. To fulfill this goal, she went to college and majored in history and German and worked as a teacher until she took up graphic design and starting modeling. Sandra Naujoks wins the European Poker Tour

At 27 years of age, Sandra has already racked up more then £1,600,000 in earnings. She won more then one million of that total in the European Poker Tour. The event was held in her native country (Dortmund, Germany). Naujoks entered and beat out 666 other players to take home the grand prize. She is only the second woman to win the European Poker Tour and the latest. Winning this prestige tournament put Sandra firmly on the map and helped her earn the distinction as one of the finest poker players (man or woman) in the world.

Sandra Naujoks’s Successes

As an elite player, Naujoks routinely finds herself going up against equally talented players. In 2008, she faced off with Alexander Kravcheno, a World Series of Poker Bracelet winner. Naujoks came out on top in the Casino Austria Poker tour. In that single game, she won $240,000 and earned a ton of respect within the poker community. Not only did she prove that she was a great female player, but an exceptional player, period. For her efforts and successes, she was named the 2008 Female European Poker Player of the Year.
