Craps place bets is a bet that a certain number will come up before a seven is rolled. This works like a craps come bet, only craps players choose their own numbers (4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10.)
If the chosen point is rolled the craps player wins, and if a seven is rolled the player loses. The chosen point and the seven are the only numbers the player has to focus on. The odds for craps place bets are 9 to 5 for the numbers 4 and 10, 7 to 5 for the numbers 5 and 9, and 7 to 6 for the numbers 6 and 8.
I make craps place bets quite often, and they are an important part in many of the craps systems that I use. There are many craps systems involving place bets on six and eight but make sure you don't confuse that with "big 6 and 8". Big 6 and 8 are sucker bets, but craps place bets do not have to be a bad investment.
The pass line bet with odds is the best craps place bets you can make because it has the lowest house advantage, but players aren’t limited to just the pass line bet. A player can also bet on the numbers 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10. The craps place bets go on the row of boxes on the craps layouts with the numbers and their corresponding numbers.
The numbers you place are sometimes called box numbers. You can make a bet on any of these numbers at any time. Craps place bets can be excellent if you have a shooter who’s rolling repeating numbers.
To make a craps place bet you put your chips in the middle of the table and tell the dealer which numbers you wish to place. The craps dealer will then move your chips to the number of your choice. Craps place bets are not self-service bets.
The dealer puts your craps place bets on the layout in a place that corresponds to the location of the table where you are playing at. This is how the craps dealer determines who to pay for the winning bet when there is more than one player placing the same number.
After you place a number it must be rolled before the seven in order to win. If the shooter 7s out before your number is rolled you will lose. When you win a craps place bet the dealer will push you your winnings but your original bet will stay. You must pick these up yourself.
Your original wager will stay on the place number until the shooter 7s out or until you ask the dealer to take your bet down. You can also take down your craps place bets any time you feel like it.
